Ahoj,

I now need to get insurance for 'Berta', and before i call around I thought some of you might have a good advice?

Problems are:
I'm trying to follow Elliot's advice of having it registered under my name in UK for little more than 6 months, in order to gain exception to import a RHD vehicle to Czech Republic and register it as a normal car.

My reasons for registering as a normal car, not a veteran, is:
1) I can modify it; advertisement, camperize, tool boxes etc.
2) I can drive in it more freely
3) I don't have to pay more for license plates, eco-tax, etc. before after 6 months (I don't have the money now!)

Which brings me to this question:
Do any of you know a Czech insurance company which would insure a RHD car in Czech Republic?
(+The vehicle is registered in UK and has UK registration plates!)
(+It's driven by a Dane with a Danish driving license!)

I'd appreciate any advice....

Pakliže chápu Maxe dobře ptá se zdali umí některá pojišťovna v ČR pojistit autí:
s pravostraným řízením ANO
s anglickými RZ tedy registrované v GB NE! Pouze automobil s veteránskými RZ tedy po testaci na historické vozidlo.
s Dánským řidičem a dánským řidičákem ANO (auto musí mít registraci v ČR pak je jedno kdo je pojistníkem a pojištěným.)


Odpověď za Českou Pojišťovnu kde jsem pracoval.

Ne potrebuje predklad....ale asi lepsi pro vas ja ne napsat z cestina!!! (Which was supposed to mean: I don't need it translated...but it's likely better for you that I don't write in Czech!)

if you get a exception from CZ MOT (ministerstvo dopravy) to have a RHD vehicle with normal registration plate - in way of Elliot´s advice, you should get insurance with no problem.

Za cvilko byl majetel Bertha 6 mesic a musim importovat ona officialni od muje London adresy...bude rad spoleprace/pomoc ...ale privni mui prodej ten privni Land Rover pro financovat eko-dan, inspekce atd.
